The resources were originally created for high school classes comprised of children with learning difficulties. The resources are made to avoid distraction by using well-spaced text and minimising graphics. The aim is to improve literacy, numeracy, living and social skills by providing engaging, challenging and age-appropriate resources. They cover a wide range of subject areas and year levels and many include ideas for differentiation, lesson plans and extension work.

4 excellent activities ready to print. One lesson per activity provides opportunities to expand in many directions. Explains the difference between being mean and bullying. Perfect for an introduction to the topic for younger years but also a good revision tool for older students. Children can practise reading, explaining, interpreting, predicting and participating in discussions. Can be used as an individual or partner activity or as part of group work. Contains: Activity One: Children read simple definitions of being mean and bullying and then must explain the difference between the two things to 3 people and listen to 3 people explain it to them. An excellent strategy for consolidating concepts. Activity Two: Children read through the statements with a partner (or individually if preferred), discuss and then decide which statements demonstrate bullying. Activity Three: Multiple Choice – children read 3 different scenarios and choose the best way to react from the responses given. Great for generating discussion around the topic. Activity Four: What if?.. This activity uses the scenarios from Activity Three and children predict what might happen if they chose a different reaction.
